To achieve this, the book covers the following topics: entrepreneurship history and theory, entrepreneur types, responsibilities and roles, entrepreneurial process, business modelling, venture creation and growth management, intellectual property rights protection, service and production ventures, international entrepreneurship, political economy of entrepreneurship, neo-entrepreneurship, and comparative entrepreneurship cultures.
Along with nearly 150 illustrations including tables, figures and pictures, and extensive real-world examples, readers will also find useful the hypotheses and matrices such as venture classification matrix, entrepreneurial opportunity diagnostic matrix, i-10 hypothesis, risk-return matrix, business model matrix, venture growth management scheme, intervention process, opportunity identification methods, innovation path, 5-C growth model, social entrepreneurship model, and risk-return-matrix that are newly introduced in the coursebook.
This course presentes five parts: (1) Facets of Entrepreneurship, (2) History and Theory of Entrepreneurship, (3) Entrepreneurship Process, (4) Entrepreneurship Practice, and (5) New Trends and Topics of Entrepreneurship. While each part has its specific focus, they together compose a consistent body of text that sequentially furthers from fundamentals to advanced level. Part V is quite different from the rest of the book as it advances a few discourses of entrepreneurship. This part is an extension to the subject of entrepreneurship and thus, it is new to the entrepreneurship textbooks. Each part of the book is then divided into 19 comprehensive chapters altogether which present a host of real-world examples, tools, charts, and tables. In addition to the core of the book, a few teacher and learner friendly features are also added. They include Key Learning Points, Chapter Summary, Review Questions, Additional Reading List, and a Subject Index.
