      今年考研本来考的南开随机过程，偏金融保险方面的，初试专业第三全院第十，现在生了变故，学院原计划录的18个人变成8人，其余的名额分给了精算专业，中澳联合培养的，学院那边联系我了，问我想法。我想在墨尔本那一年花费至少二三十万吧。生在小县城，父母工薪阶层，父母倒是很愿意我去读，但是真是难以下决定，明天就要复试了，各位给点意见

我也偏向去，可能只是觉得这样会欠父母很多吧

I wonder how serious you are about studying abroad. From your brief description above, I believe that u r a very good student. If you are serious about studying abroad, please be aware that you have much more opportunities open around the world. As to the expense, it is up to you to decide if it is worth it, but I would advise you to think carefully about the placement rate of your program and the immigration policy of the country you are considering. Do not pay too much attention to the rankings.

By the way, I can see that your interest focuses on finance rather than actuarial science. I  want to remind you that these two are two very different fields and I would not recommend an actuarial science program unless you are 100% sure that you want to be an actuary in the future. You may want to do some research on these two fields to get a better understanding of their career developments.
