Some college students do part-time jobs while others not. Do you think college students should do part-time jobs and why?

Time is limited. I suppose student should concern more on their book except that the student love the part-time job more than his major.Student do the part time job for different reasons at different time , it is hard to say  good or bad .

This topic is interesting. I think college students should do part-time jobs because of two reasons.

First, part-time jobs could balance students academic performance and life balance. Especially, if the part-time job was related to the student's major study, then the student would gain valuable working experiences for obtaining a full-time job in the future. Even if the part-time job was not related to the student's major study, the student could still enhance various skills, such as communication, leadership, and so on from the part job he or she did.

Second, I think none of employers would expect students only focus on academic study in college. From the extracurricular activities and part-time jobs a student has done, employers could evaluate if the student is a well-rounded candidate to best fit the job requirements.

In summary, I also have some part-time jobs in college and enhanced various essential skill that needed for performing future full-time work. What do you guys think about the benefits of part-time jobs?

I agree with what reduce_fat said up there. Students should be encouraged to do some part-time jobs or interns to enhance what they have learned in class. This is the best way for students to practice. In China, most students as well as their parents just care too much about the scores they get in class. They did not pay enough attention to activities out of classrooms and we should encourage our students to take part in more activities.

This topic is very hot now.I think student should think two questions.Frist,do part time job can get what?Second,do you have part time to do it.Because college student is adult,must be responsible to themselves .If you want learn more academic knowledge in order to become a postgraduate I think you shouldn't do part time job.So many part time is wasting time,such as restaurant waiter or other same.I don't think it can help you get more academic knowledge.If you just want to find job after you graduate,do some part time job in you college time is very helpful.It can help you learn more and more interposonnel relationship.

some one who do part time job for his(her) live.some one for improving the ability about how to interact with different people.some one for fun,just for fun. and so on.
i think it is beneficial for normal students to do some part time job in conjunction with his(her) major or interesting. we need more practice to learn the life, just do it.   

     It's a  very classical topic. When i am taking the spoken-English classes,our students usually refer to that.
     From my own perspective, doing some part-time jobs is beneficial to the college students. The reasons are as follows: First of all, we have too much spare time in our study life,so we have the advantage to find a part-time job.  Besides, we can earn some money to lighten our partents' burden. At the same time ,it's a good opportunity for us . We could gain much experience and learn more knowledge which we can never get from our class. It improves our abilities and helps to watch this society better.
         Of course,it takes effects only when doing part time job doesn't have a bad influence on our study.After all, studying is the most important to us. In a word,we should do some part-time jobs properly and make sure of our own safety. That's all,thank you!

Part-time job is improtant for a student to understand what he has learned.
As Karel Max said, theory came from practice and tested by practice. Once that established, it can instruct practice.In another word, the truth is from practice and should go into practise.
So I think part-time jobs is just that way which can help students learn their courses and will truly improve their ability.
