不知道大家发的邮件是不是都有回复？
我联系了几所学校的老师，有杜克大学、MIT、和加州理工，联系他们的人是不是都很多？前天我写了一封，今天还没收到回信。不知道是不是该继续询问下去？

How are you doing? First I should appreciate that you read my letter during your busy time. My name is XXXXX, in China, they all call me XXXXX. I am a Ph.D student in Management Science and Engineering at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (P.R.China). I am now in my second year of my doctoral phase, and I will receive my doctor degree in July 2015.
Recently, I got the notification of a doctoral program sponsored by the United States Department of State — the fulbright student program, which aims to support the research project of the students all over the world (you can get more information in http://www.iie.org/fulbright ). After communicating with my Ph.D. supervisor, the Vice-President of SOUTH UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY OF CHINA, I decided to do further research in the U.S. with an expert in the area that I am now focusing on. He strongly supported my choice and advised me to study with an outstanding scholar in U.S., which is benifical to my future career, I think so. So, I applied for this program. If I am enrolled by this program,the Chinese and U.S. goverment will support all of my expenditures during my study abroad, which include both the daily expenses and the transportation cost. As what this project permit, I can choose to contact with an advisor that I think can instruct my doctoral dissertation. So, I write this letter to ask you if you want to recruit an international Ph.D student for your program and offer an opportunity to me for doing research with you.
I had known you for a long time since I was writing my master's thesis in Copula theory field during my master's phase. In China, you are very famous in the academic area, especially in the Copula-related field, because you are the leading researcher in Copula theory. The title of my master's thesis is Study on the correlation structure between the financial markets of China and America —based on Copula theory, in which I analyzed the correlation between the financial markets of China and America with Copula theory,and finally found the transimission path of the risk between the two countries. During my master's phase, I read many of your papers, such as your doctoral thesis Applications of Copula Theory in Financial Econometrics, your paper published in 2006
— Modelling Asymmetric Exchange Rate Dependence, and papers published recently — Copula Methods for Forecasting Multivariate Time Series and A review of copula models for economic time series,etc.. Also, I viewed your personal webpage on the website of duke university. After reading these materials, I marveled at your tremendous achievements in Copula theory and Financial Econometrics, so I strongly hope you to offer me an opportunity to do research with you.
In order to let you learn something about my doctoral dissertation, I attached my Research Objective which is used for applying for the fulbright student program. Hope you can give me some advise on my research objective. Also, I attached my CV, Personal Statement and Recommendation Letters in this email. I really appreciate that you take your time to read them and evaluate my capability.
