any idea on data gap fill, and more generally, back fill?
The backfill problem is slightly easier, where you are given a series of data, say, ranging from 2010 to 2013, and you are concerned with the problem of back filling the data from 2003 to 2010.

The gap fill is similar to backfill, except that you are given data from 2003 to 2008 and from 2010 and 2013, and you are concerned with the problem of filling the gap between 2008 and 2010.
