I am building a Windows based software targeted at consumers, and while I think it's awesome, I'm not sure if my potential customers will.

I would like to do some market research to make sure I'm on the right track with the feature set. Unfortunately, I don't have the budget for a large sample size. I understand that I won't be able to get anything near statistical significance on the cheap, but some feedback is better than no feedback I figure.

Are there any inexpensive resources for surveying a panel of 100-200 consumers?

How do you find the 100-200 consumers of the segment you are interested in? Simple, use Google Adwords to create an advert and pull in that many people. The cost is much cheaper than paying a marketing firm or buying an email list that might not be relevant. This way you can target exactly the keywords that represent your target and then stop the advert once you get enough people. Make the landing page the start of your survey.

Set up your own survey using surveymonkey and for small scale research such as this why not try and reach your sample by distributing your survey link through social media, Twitter, Facebook, etc.....

I used this menthod an I was pleasently surprised by the number of respondants. Do remember to provide little bit of background and explain how long it will take to complete the survey.
