上海经济增长的主要因素(摘要)

上海经济的发展，总体上是投资推动的、主要依靠制造业和基础设施与建筑业推动的；单正力度向科技推动、依靠服务业和制造业并重的格局转变。

1、投资的推动

2、产业结构调整的支撑。

3、科技的贡献。

4、新型城市化的刺激（房地产等行业的刺激）。

5、政府的资本运作。

my assessment

Growth=F(geography, openess, governance)

you can assess the three criterions according to the situation of Shanghai, it is generally valid for China

you  say nothing , because you donnot tell us anything  about what is your  (geography, openess, governance), and they cannot be variables in your opinion .

geography means it is a variable to measure the endowment from God, for example, good temperature, good traffic condition, have an access to ocean , better condition for trade, etc, and oil reserve, or other valuable reserve , for examle, coal, iron, etc.

Openness, means the trade policy,a valuable to measure the height of barrier for foreign or domestic trade especially for tax tarif, if it is very open and friendly for trade, better competition, free market, then higher market and production s efficiency.

Governance means the valuable to measure the efficiency of government, legislature system, the grade of corruption, etc.

   我不是这样认为。当你把地理、开放度、政府稀释为一连串的描述时，呈现出来是更加模糊的景象。以“Governance means the valuable to measure the efficiency of government, legislature system, the grade of corruption, etc.”为例，仅仅是the efficiency of government、 legislature system、 the grade of corruption就面临着最终用经验性的观察结果来解释的考验，这也是对研究者想象力、原创力的极大挑战。我相信你明白我说的是操作化的问题，也即是我们在真实世界中区分变量不同属性的具体说明。
   你几乎用你的三个名词涵盖了很大部分的描述，近乎无所不包的概念并不能加深我们对这个世界的了解，也无法让我们对社会生活的本质具有更多的认识。确实，社会科学中，复杂性和规律性是一对非常有趣的矛盾体。相信国际关系大师Kenneth N.Waltz在1979年出版的《theory of international politics 》可以让我们更好地体会社会科学理论的精妙，对变量独到的把握和深邃的洞察，以及理论演绎的美丽和魅力。在这点上马克思的方法论也特别值得学习。
   我们不自觉地想要理解事物，而理解又最常发生在具体的、物质的层次上，这是我们思维的方式。但是在社会科学中我们会超越这个层次，换言之，我们试图把具体存在的某个人、某件事归到某种类型中，当了解和解释的历程结束后，社会科学家可以将研究所得推及更多的人。
   社会科学包含了对变量和构成变量属性的研究，它是用变量语言写就的，而具体的个人或事件之所以涉及研究，只因为他们是变量的介质。上海的经济增长也好，中国的经济奇迹也好，它们只是变量的介质，所以林毅夫先生写《中国的奇迹：发展战略与经济改革》，从比较优势理论的角度得出中国改革的经验是具有普遍意义的，而不是独特的，这才是社会科学理论要做的，才是社会科学研究者值得提倡的。
   浅陋之见，还望不吝赐教。

It is very important to proof or test the power of theory!!!

The most trend empirical studies about growth , including three central topic> geography, it is exogen variable, integration(openness) and institution(governance) are endogen variable of growth, there are a great deal of empirical studies about this topic,

try to key in the three key words in google, then you can have more detail info about it.

It is also the the theoritical base of development aids, these three are also not 描述, they are the deep determinants of growth.

You should write as:

You said nothing, because you did not tell us anything about the definitions of your variables, and they cannot support your opinion.

Your fellow made the same mistake as well:

geography means it is a variable to measure the endowment from God

shoule be:

geography is a variable to measure the geographic endowment

By the way, "endowment from God" is quite funny, for "endowment" means "A natural gift, ability, or quality" already; if she believes in God, that means any endowment should be given by God. I do not know for sure that this variable includes people too. At least "good traffic condition" can be man-made.
