Possible topics include but are not limited to:
Statistical measurement and economic analysis of GVC
Domestic segment of GVC
GVC development and taxation system reforms (e.g. export tax rebate)
GVC and the real effective exchange rate
GVC and carbon emission
GVC and service trade
E-commerce, big data, and GVC Industry and enterprise based case studies
Supporting Journals
We are in the process of lining up a few key journals as supporting journals for this conference. A
subset of the presented papers will be considered for publication, with the same high standard as
regular submissions to the journal, though an effort will be made to expedite the review process.
Working language of the conference:
English is the preferred language (All papers will be presented in English), but papers written in
Chinese with English abstract and slides are also welcome.
Submissions to the Conference
Researchers interested in presenting a paper at the conference should submit it by Nov 9, 2014, to:

Full papers are preferred, but extended abstracts will also be considered (no more than 1000
words). Accepted papers in their entirety must be submitted before Nov 23, 2014.
Submissions are free. Successful authors will be notified by Nov 14, 2014. The conference’s
webpage is http://www.center-ier.org/ and wechat public platform ID is “center-ier”, and will be
updated periodically as more information becomes available.

Procedures for submitting the papers to supporting journals will be announced later. The review
process for the supporting journal and the selection process for the conference program are
mutually independent.
Registration:
There is no conference registration fee. Presenters will be responsible for their own travel and
accommodation costs, though Tsinghua University will assist with reservation at the conference
hotel, Wenjin Hotel, http://www.wenjin.com.cn/, which is within walking distance from the
conference venue on the campus of Tsinghua University. Conference meals of all paper presenters
and discussants will be covered by the conference organizers.
