Look carefully at the DATA step shown below. Based on the INPUT statement, in what order will the variables be stored in the new data set?
data perm.update;  
infile invent;  
input IDnum $ 15-19 Item $ 1-13 Instock 21-22  BackOrd 24-25;   
Total=instock+backord;
run;

a.	IDnum Item InStock BackOrd Total

Correct answer:   a
求解！！

input IDnum 15−19Item 1-13 Instock 21-22  BackOrd 24-25;  is inputting those variables in the IDnum, Item, Instock, backOrd order.

Total=instock+backord; is creating a variable called 'Total', which is equal to instock+backord.

So the variables will be as a.

为什么不是 因为Item 1-13 所以先显示Item呢？我觉得B才对

compile的时候，谁先出现谁就在前边

不就是programming中先输入的variable先出现，后输入的后出现，和varible本身在data set中的位置无关~可以参考VAR statement的感觉

the input data does not matter. The variable order depends on when you CREATE them.

出现顺序按照input中的顺序，如果有“变量=”的，在此之后都要用这种方式输入
