给我的工资起薪并不算高，不知是否因为此行比较看重经验和工作年数？还有工作以后待遇方面的提升如何呢？

我也同意一下子规划十多年并不现实。由于之前自己的经历都在银行投行二级市场的方向，想多充分了解下再保险这个行业再做决定。。
听说在再保险内从业的话基本上就固定在这个圈子里面了，请问您身边有朋友或者听说过有人跳槽到其他行业比如投行的吗？谢谢！

恩，再保圈子偏窄是事实，不过那也是因为这个圈子待遇不错，所以到了一定阶段也就不想换行业了

我的确见过再保转证券的，但是也就是特例

如果楼主最后还是希望去投行，那还是应该最开始就找投行的工作

核保经验越多越增值。FAC 一般需要工程师背景。TREATY 不需要工程类背景,但要善于与人沟通。
如果你做了一段时间PROPERTY，可以接着做CASUALTY。PROPERTY 的相对简单，常见的就有
NON-Proportion: PER RISK，CATASTROPHY；
Proportion: Quota Share, Surplus Share
简单的原因是 TAIL 比较短。不需要太多的 ASSUMPTION
CASUALTY TAIL 比较长，需要更多的经验
核保很容易走上管理岗位。精算就难了许多。因为相对而言，竞争的对手差别很大。也就是鸡头牛后的区别吧。
钱多而且稳定,可以一直做下去的职业.
投行工作压力大.而且除了几个核心部门没什么前途.长江后浪推前浪,很难持续辉煌.
核保刚开始不如投资银行那样闪亮,但一定会越来越好.

Underwriters top the high earners league

Reinsurance underwriters are now earning almost double the salary of lawyers, while the number of international business workers is outstripping civil servants by more than 500, according to the latest statistics released by Government's Employment Briefs report.

The underwriters top the league table, based on 2007 figures, for high-earning occupations in the administrative and managerial sector, with annual earnings of $314,310. Finance general managers ($306,875) and re/insurance brokers ($263,750) come in second and third respectively.

Medical pathologists lead the way in the professional and technical stakes at an annual salary of $292,500, followed by actuaries ($207,367) and lawyers ($160,031) to complete the top three.

reinsurance underwriter is my dream job. Let me give you a bit of introduction to my company underwriter's daily life. Get in office around 9:30, read a bit of news and email, then heading out to meet clients. Have a very very long lunch, usually back to office around 3 or 4 pm, half drunk. Chat around a little and leaving office for the pre drinks before dinner with clients.
Numerous functions such as  cocktails parties, charity dinners, conferences ...  Business trips to NY, London, Tokyo with business/first class airfare and 5-star accommodation.  I ride along with them in last a couple of years and enjoyed it.
They are weak on technical side but very strong on soft skills such as office politics and interpersonal skills. You need to build your own relationships with clients and it will take a long time.
The industry is dominated by old male. Hardly to see any pretty chicks if you go to those functions.
The circle is very small, everyone knows everyone.
This is a lifetime career, I agree with Bocm.
The most important thing: You need to be a good drinker. You need to be a good drinker. You need to be a good drinker.
