2009E objectives are industry structural reform, TD and 3G
China’s MIIT issued several press releases announcing various measures
relating to industry objectives for 2009, 3G capex/targets, and TD-SCDMA (TD)
supportive measures details. On 2009 telco focus objectives, the MIIT shall
‘continuously deepen telecom structural reform, further adopt regulatory policies
relevant to such reform; strongly support TD-SCDMA development, accelerate 3G
investment’ to drive the value chain.
