We toss a coin repeatedly until it lands heads up for the first time. We repeat this
experiment three times with the same coin and obtain the following data:
Experiment Outcome
1 Coin landed heads up on the third toss
2 Coin landed heads up on the fifth toss
3 Coin landed heads up on the fourth toss
Let  denote the probability that the coin lands heads up when tossed, where 0    1.
a. [5 pts] Estimate  using the method of moments.
b. [5 pts] Estimate  using the method of maximum likelihood.

Your question makes me confused.  Based on the condition "We repeat this experiement 3 times ", how you get the experiement outcome "on the 5th toss" and "on the 4th toss"?

There are three experiments. For each experiment we toss a coin for several times until the first head appears. So in each experiment, it may be tossed for 4,5 or any other times. Can you figure it out?

what do u wanna estimate, U should  edit your question better so that others  can understand, not by guess
