b)      b) Estimatethe probability of the population surviving for 8 years with a return at year 8strictly to consist of only 1 unit.  

c)      c) Describeand estimate the probability of the population surviving for 32 years with a returnto consist of only one unit at the each of years 8, 16, 24, 32.

给出一种迭代算法用来计算准确的概率值，而不是估计，不知道是不是符合你的口味。时间匆忙可能存在错误，仅供您参考吧。

谢谢您的帮助，迭代法是可以计算，可是过程过于繁琐，而且到了part c) 如果years 走到很大的数，如1000， 就很难进行下去。这一题的前两问是让求出规律，然后第三问就迎刃而解了。这一题我已用Gambler Ruin的方法解出，谢谢您的参与！
