There are two important textbooks listed below. The primary textbook is the core text for this module and most of the material in the textbook will be covered in the course to some extent; the secondary textbook is a very useful supplement, which is slightly more advanced, but provides further detail and examples going beyond the level of this course at times.
Primary Textbook:
Watson, J., Strategy: An Introduction to Game Theory, 3rd (International Student) edition, 2013, Norton, NY, ISBN 978-0-393-91838-0.
Secondary Textbook:
Osborne M.J., An Introduction to Game Theory, 2004, Oxford University Press, Oxford, ISBN 0-19-512895-8.
There are many other textbooks on Game Theory. The first two below are good, and at a similar level to Osborne’s book. The two textbooks listed under advanced reading below are much more technical (and certainly beyond the level of this course), but it is useful for students wishing to go into the mathematical details behind the material covered in this module, and for those considering further study in Game Theory.
