Slusky Equation doesn't require the indifference curves in decompensatiing the demand of goods, and is used to evaluate how much compensation an individula could get for an increase in prices. To able to use this, you should define the nature of the good first.

For normal goods, the new ooptimal bundle of goods purachased lie to the right-hand side and lower than the original bundle of goods, the substitution effect id bigger than the income effect. For inferior or Giffen goods, the final bundle should lie on the left-hand side and higher thane the original bundle.
