The 10th World Congress of the Econometric Society will be held in Shanghai from 17th to 21st August 2010. It is hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in cooperation with Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Fudan University, China Europe International Business School and the Chinese Association of Quantitative Economics. The World Congress of the Econometric Society is the most prestigious international conference in the field of economics. The previous nine Congresses were held in Rome (1965), Cambridge UK (1970), Toronto (1975), Aix-en-Provence (1980), Cambridge USA (1985), Barcelona (1990), Tokyo (1995), Seattle (2000) and London (2005).

Welcome to ESWC 2010          
The World Congress of the Econometric Society is the most prestigious international conference in the field of economics. The previous nine Congresses were held in Rome (1965), Cambridge UK (1970), Toronto (1975), Aix-en-Provence (1980), Cambridge USA (1985), Barcelona (1990), Tokyo (1995), Seattle (2000) and London (2005).
The 10th World Congress of the Econometric Society will be held in Shanghai from 17th to 21st August 2010. It is hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in cooperation with Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Fudan University, China Europe International Business School and the Chinese Association of Quantitative Economics.
ESWC 2010 welcomes submissions in all areas of economics. It is hoped that papers presented at the Congress will represent a broad spectrum of applied and theoretical economics and econometrics.

第十届世界经济学大会将于2010年8月17-21日在上海召开，本届大会主办方为上海交通大学，承办方为上海交通大学安泰经济与管理学院和上海高级金融学院，协办方为上海财经大学、复旦大学、中欧国际工商学院和中国数量经济学会。

世界经济学大会是由世界计量经济学会每五年组织一次的世界盛会，是经济学领域级别最高、影响力最强、覆盖范围最广、最具前瞻性的学术会议，号称经济学界的“奥林匹克”。前九届大会举办的地点分别为罗马(1965)、英国剑桥(1970)、多伦多(1975)、普洛旺斯艾克斯(1980)、美国剑桥(1985)、巴塞罗那(1990)、东京(1995)、西雅图(2000)和伦敦(2005)。

世界计量经济学会是全球经济学界最具有权威性的学术团体。它成立于1930年，由耶鲁大学经济学家欧文·费舍尔(Erving Fisher)和挪威经济学家拉格纳·弗里希(Ragnar Frish)发起。拉格纳·弗里希于1969年与简·丁伯根共同获首届诺贝尔经济学奖，是举世公认的计量经济学奠基人。学会院士几乎囊括了当今所有世界知名的经济学家，2007年诺贝尔经济学奖的三位得主都是世界计量经济学会院士并担任重要职务，其中莱昂尼德·赫维奇(Leonid Hurwicz)于1969年担任学会主席，埃里克·马斯金(Eric Maskin)于2003年担任主席，罗杰·迈尔森(Roger Myerson)已于2009年担任主席。据统计共有17位诺贝尔经济学奖得主担任过世界计量经济学会主席职务。

多位世界顶级的经济学家已经应邀在大会上做主题报告。同时，大会欢迎各国各地区学者、特别是中国经济学工作者投寄在经济学的各个领域的理论和应用方面的研究论文。论文投稿截止日期为2010年1月30日。
