现在我有一组数据，想要研究一下价格和各地区间的相关性，
然后需要把地区，用input语句，由字符型转成数字型，
具体如下：_COL4=input(_COL3,8.);
最终结果：_COL4一列呈缺失值，
所以，想请教各位大虾~应该怎么修改~

Agree with SASLOVIMe. If _COL3 is just quoted numbers, such as ’12.33’, there should be no problem of reading into numeric (truncated for the first 8 letters). If mixed with letters, such as ‘A123’, the result is missing. If you really want to solve the problem, you should present some example values of _COL3. By the way, your image is not very agreeable.
