Abstract
The necessary and the economic benefit of reactive power compensation are analyzed In the paper£®based on the essential principle¡¢Some different kinds of basic methods of reactive power compensation are discussed£¬and the problem of the optimum size for Shunt Capacitor Bank£¨SCB£© is analyzed£® The abnormal performances of SCB in running status are researched and resolved£®Based on the TSC reactive compensation equipment£¬ a new low£voltage intelligent controller is designed£¬ which can solve switched£capacitor without instantaneous rush current by means zero£crossing triggering of SCR components¡£ and can realize auto£tracking reactive power£¬ compensating and auto£switching SCB£®80C196KB MCU is used as its core controller£® It is shown that the algorithm in hand has the vantage decreasing power loss and lowers of voltage and increasing the distribution system efficiency£¬for example power factor£®The controller measures monitors parameter of electric network, the saves preterit data of 60 days which is the evidence of the running status of electric network£®And then the running curve of parameters is gained by background data process of computer. In order to conveniently realize communication between controller and operator£¬the method of wireless communication is applied in the control field and remote communication is solved by RS485 interface£®
After the running test of the controller£®the device has been put into use£®
