Volvo unveiled its new V60 Plug-in Hybrid earlier this year at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The car is virtually ready to go into production and will make Volvo the first manufacturer to have this new breed of hybrid, which is the result of a close collaboration with Vattenfall, a Swedish energy supplier. The technology combines a diesel engine with a plug-in rechargeable electric powertrain.
