Roles and responsibilities
· Lead Pacific Epoch’s China based macro team in the process of generating ideas that can be converted into economic and political research and analysis with the objective of enhancing the company’s profitability and competitive position.
· Oversee the team’s macro-economic research and forecasting efforts.
· Produce regular reports detailing the group’s views on economic, political and social developments in China relevant to Pacific Epoch’s client base, which consists of leading mutual and hedge funds.
· Present views to clients through in person-meetings and regular telephone conference calls.
· Travel to contacts in private and public sectors.
Qualifications
o Candidate must have deep knowledge of and ties to China and be able to leverage an existing network of contacts.
o Total of 5+ years of relevant experience whether in the private or public sectors or in academics.
o Strong quantitative skills.
o Publication experience, coupled with excellent oral and written communication skills.
o Team-leading experience preferred, but not necessary.
