Job Descriptionfor China Macro Analyst
Pacific Epoch is seeking an experienced,well-connected individual to attend its macroeconomic research department. Thesuccessful candidate will play a vital role in developing a on-the-ground,primary research based team that will successfully carve through the myriadrange of views on China to offer investors independent and substantial insight.
Roles and responsibilities
· Generating ideas for that can be converted into economic and political research and analysiswith the objective of enhancing the company’s profitability and competitiveposition.
· Participatein the team’smacroeconomic research and forecasting
· Producing regular reports detailingthe company’s views on economic, politicaland social developments in China
· Presenting views to clients through inperson-meetings and telephone conference calls.
· Traveling to meet contacts in the privateand public sectors.
Qualifications
· Deep knowledge of China’s recent economic development
· A large contact network
· A minimum of 3 years of relevantexperience in either private/public sectors, journalism or academia
· Strong quantitative skills is a plus
· Publication experience, coupled with excellent oral and writtencommunication skills, both inChinese and English
