1) as{adj/adv 旳原形}as  与…一样  e.g.  They were as gentle as sheep.  
  as…as  the same asas heavy as  the same weight as  as old as  the same age as  as high as  the same height as   as big as  the same size as
2)否定: not as / so …as  不如…… 比较级 + than
e.g. He is not as / so tall as me. He is shorter than me / I’m taller than him.
Some dinosaurs were       as gentle as sheep.
