BIOGRAPHY
Internationally experienced bank risk manager based in China in last 6 years; accomplished business development and risk management experience leveraging off years of working in international capital markets; solid analytical skills; excellent presentation and writing skills in communication of ideas; CFA and Ph.D.
VISION STATEMENT
China is becoming increasingly important for global economy in general and risk management industry in particular. My career path has taken me from international capital markets to Chinese local market. I would like to bring local insights from China to global audience to enhance the continuing professionalization of the risk management industry. In the recent years, I have helped enhancing PRMIA's position in Shanghai by being the co-RD for the Shanghai Chapter. My plan is to continue this effort and become more involved with other chapters in China (e.g., Beijing). For global responsibility, my value-added would be to tell international community the story of Chinese risk management in terms of both its strength and weakness. In addition, I would like to help promote PRMIA more vigorously in China to reach the potentially the largest risk management market in the world.

2. I know Nicholas from his active involvement in PRMIA as the regional director of Shanghai Chapter and I am impressed with his leadership of the chapter. Under Nicholas as the Co-RD, Shanghai Chapter was well managed and organized with active members' events. He is passionate and he also contributed actively in discussion on risk management issues and direction for the financial industry in China. With his global experience, he understood how the western institutions run their risk management and Nicholas eagerly shared his views and experience in risk management with domestic banking institutions with the view to enrich and enhance the local risk management standards.

3. I know Nicholas for almost two years when he as the regional director of Shanghai chapter. During 2010 to 2011 Nicholas run chapter well and invited a number of speakers to chapter events to deliver the valuable seminars. Meanwhile, he also contributed his passion and leadership on restructured steering committee and made Shanghai Chapter more active.
Nicholas holds a Doctor degree in economics and he has extensive working experience in risk management both in the US and in China as an economist for World Bank and a director of Basel II of Standard Chartered Bank, and a commodity research director for ANZ Bank. I strongly believe with his capability, leadership and industrial knowledge, Nicholas would be a competitive candidate for Board of PRMIA to link with Asia, especially China the global booming market.
