【演讲者简介】于晓华，德国哥廷根大学农业经济与农村发展学院教授。2009年于宾夕法尼亚州立大学获得农业与环境区域经济学和人口学双博士学位。主要研究领域为农业经济学、发展经济学、环境经济学。现任Agricultural Economics副主编，在China Economic Review, Agricultural Economics, Environmentand Development Economics, Frontiers of Economics in China, European Journal ofHealth Economics, American Journal of Agricultural Economics等多个国际期刊上发表多篇文章。

【内容简介】This paper presents a meta-analysis of5308 observations of total factor productivity growth (TFPG) in China from 150primary studies to provide some insightful explanations to the controversiesabout productivity growth in China in the current literature. The main findingsinclude that (1) the mean TFPG of the aggregate economy at the national levelin the current literature is only about 2% after 1978, which barely contributesto 20% economic growth; (2) there are three cycles for TFPG after 1978 and eachcircle lasts about 10 years; (3) sector-specific TFPGs are generallylarger than aggregate economic TFPGs; (4) regional disparities of TFPG aresignificant and specifically the TFPG in East China is higher than that inCentral and West China; (5) TFPG after 1978 is in general greater than thatbefore 1978; and (6) peer-review process and paper languages are significantlycorrelated with TFPG results.
