For an economy with N goods, you may state (N-1) equilibrium conditions (equations) with N variables (prices).  Therefore, you need another constraint to solve the problem.  Generally, we assume the price for good i is 1.  That is, the equilibrium is actually presented as the relative prices (to good i).
