　　【导读】父亲只是一个名词，一种身份，而爸爸可能是一种爱。这两个同义词在词义上并无任何差异，但是在情感上，却有深有浅，甚至若有似无。

　　A father and adad are not the same:

　　父亲和爸爸有着不同的含义

　　One can be a dadand not a father,

　　一个人可能是爸爸但不是父亲

　　Or one can be afather and not bother

　　或者他可能是父亲不能去打扰

　　To earn throughlove the more endearing name.

　　因为爱，会赋予“父亲”这个词更多含义。

　　Some findfatherhood a bit too tame,

　　有人发现父子关系太平淡

　　Leaving all thedetails to the mother,

　　他把很多细节都抛给了母亲

　　Or dumping thesweet burden on another

　　或者他把这甜蜜的负担抛给别人

　　Man with just apassing twinge of shame.

　　而他自己只会感到一时的羞愧

　　You have beenour dad so many years

　　你已经成为我们的爸爸好多年了

　　That you’ve become the landscape that is home,

　　那你也成为一个风景那就是家

　　The mountainthat we look to from afar.

　　你是我们远远观望的一座大山

　　No matter wherewe go we’re not alone,

　　不管我们去哪里我们都不会孤单

　　For you remainwithin to still our fears

　　因为你永远在我们心中安慰我们的畏惧

　　And be the wordthat tells us who we are.
