<p>关于steel industry 的战略case</p><p>The global Steel Industry<br/>Steel is the symbol of the Industrial Revolution and today it is still the most used metal in the world.<br/>Without steel we would have no rails, no bodywork for cars and, above all, no works of art or<br/>skyscrapers. Its characteristics undeniably make it extremely polyvalent and it is practical for many<br/>types of utilization. On an economic level it offers one of the best values for money, however its<br/>production demands the mastering of a complex industrial process.<br/>A. The industrial process and the finished product<br/>1. The upstream industrial process<br/>Steel is made up of iron and carbon. The association of these two raw materials is the result of a<br/>long industrial process that necessitates important production resources. Steel can be produced from<br/>two distinct production channels. (See Appendix 1: Industrial process).<br/>a. Basic Oxygen Steelmaking<br/>The different stages of the iron sector‘s industrial process require major industrial installations<br/>(coking plant, blast furnace, converter) that can be grouped on the same site (integrated complex).<br/>However, certain companies incorporate only a part of the process, preferring to buy coke directly<br/>rather than coal.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <br/></p>
