如果一直都发不出国内顶尖期刊，是不是只能放弃搞学术？

专注一个方向十年，一般都能发。发不出一般不是不适合做学术，是不是可能在战术上出了问题？

如果为师，其实学术更多是为了生计罢了，哪还用心想过更好地传道、授业和解惑呢？

如果发不出顶尖期刊，说明你的研究一直没有入流。只能说明这一点。当然，这也是我目前担忧的问题。
另外，我想提出不同的是，顶尖期刊并不止你说的那几个，小同行范围内的一些国内外顶尖期刊都应该算。可以参考前一段时间教育部作废的那个A类期刊目录。

不一定，现在的顶尖期刊，水准是不如以前的，并不能代表学界最创新的成果。有个学者就说了《中国社会科学》现在1年有多少篇文章会被人记住？

Become one yourself, but then give the game away by explaining things in simple language whenever possible. Talk to lots of people! Teach them; learn from them; don't worry too much about impressing them. Don't be scared to ask basic questions - and don't be surprised when nobody knows the answers. The simplest questions are the last to be answered.
