- AltisProfessional is currently seeking an intermediate Data Analyst/Business Analyst/Business Intelligence Analyst to join our client at Yonge and St. Clair. They have a great team, with an analytical and intellectually challenging environment, making for a very strategic and interesting job.
- The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of previous experience in running analysis and writing reports within either the logistics, CPG or retail industry (or anything that involved the movement/transportation of products).
- Financial Analysts with significant financial modeling experience are welcome to apply to this role as well!
- Roles and Responsibilities
- The candidate must be able to analyze reports and analytics that are used to then design relevant solutions using defined BI Solution Definition methodologies
- Organize large datasets from various sources, and manipulate the data into financial models
- Perform various analyses including performance measurement, statistical analysis, cost allocation, trending, forecasting, statistical reports, and various other adhoc reports
- Conduct external research related to the industry and other related industries
- Create ROI and variance analyses on various on-going programs and potential initiatives
- Qualifications and Experience
- Must possess a university degree (It is considered an asset if the area of study be in one or more of the following disciplines: Business/commerce, economics, computer science, statistic, engineering)
- 3-5 years of experience with financial modeling and other data modeling - preferably within a comparable setting such as logistics, engineering, environmental science, retail, manufacturing
- The candidate must have proven experience presenting to and collaborating with external stakeholders at all levels (primarily CEO’s, VPs and other analytic stakeholders)
- It is ideal for applicants to have experience/proficiency in Microsoft SQL, and other ERPs and BI tools such as SAP, BOBJ, Cognos, Hyperion
