Christine Blasey Ford told a Senate inquiry she was “100 per cent” certain that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was the man who attacked her at a 1980s high-school party in gripping testimony that could determine the balance of the US’s highest court for decades.A composed but sometimes tearful Ms Ford said she was “terrified” appearing before the Senate’s judiciary committee as she recounted a 36-year-old ordeal that has haunted her into middle age: Mr Kavanaugh’s alleged attempt to rape her as a friend looked on.
