Methods: Two thousand seven hundred and thirty-three lying-in women with cesarean section in Changle People¡¯s Hospital from 2006 to 2008 were retrospectively summarized in the change of indiction£¬ the causes for rise of cesarean section in order to decrease the rate of cesarean section. Results: The rate of cesarean section was 47.18©‡in 2006£¬53.21©‡in 2007 and 56.84©‡in 2008.The average rate was 52.28©‡.The main causes to lead to cesarean section were fetal distress(21.41©‡)£¬social factors(19.76©‡)£¬umbilical cord around neck(90.7©‡)£¬ pelvic presentation (8.56©‡)£¬ fetal macrosomia (6.95©‡)£¬ preeclampsia(5.27©‡)£¬ cicatricialuteras(5.01©‡)£¬ anomaly of pelvis(4.98©‡)£¬ relative cephalopelvic disproportion(4.90©‡). Conclusions: The rise of cesarean section was caused by kinds of factors and social factors were the main ones. With the effect of doctors and pregnant women and community£¬ appropriate management of indications cesarean section can effectively reduce the rate of cesarean section.
