【内容提要】本文综述相关文献提出并论证了以下观点：空间经济学是所有与空间维度有关的经济学分支学科在空间维度基础上的融合，新经济地理学是空间经济学的一个主要的最前沿的分支学科。在此基础上，论文梳理了新经济地理学的发展脉络，并通过这一过程评述其基本思想和未来的发展方向。
