To date, He has over 70 newspaper articles on various economic issues; some of his suggestions has been adopted by the Hong Kong SAR government. He was the first one (see the attached articles) to suggest moving the guaranteed exchange rate pip-by-pip from 7.75 to 7.8. This helps HKMA to defend the speculative attacks successfully during the Asian Financial Crisis. He was also the first one to suggest converting the HOS apartments to guesthouses to make full use of public resources.
