The authors have done a great deal of work in their revision to address my comments and concerns. Most of their arguments are convincing. However, I still have one major concern that I think it is important that the authors try to address before the paper can be accepted.
The authors do a good job describing the differences between their empirical framework and that of Frank and Goyal (2009) and I agree that the authors' framework potentially provides an econometric contribution. However, econometric issues notwithstanding, I am still not clear that the authors' interpretation of the empirical results.........
I also have some smaller comments that I list below.........
In addition, while the paper is generally well written, there are still some typos and awkward sentences. I list some examples below............
