【内容简介】
        Most studies of China’s contemporary economy overlook the impact of historical legacies.This presentation shows how historical circumstances influenced major elements of China’s reform-era development and discusses areas where injecting historical perspectives may deepen the analysis of current economic issues.
【演讲者简介】
        Thomas G. Rawski, Professor of Economics and History of University of Pittsburgh's .He got his Ph.D. From Harvard University and joined the University of Pittsburgh's faculty in 1985 after fourteen years at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on the nature and implications of recent developments and long-term changes in the economy of China. His resent papers include“Will Investment Behavior Constrain China's Growth?”,“What’s Happening to China’s GDP Statistics”,“Recent Developments in China's Labor Economy”, and so on.
