Now along with Logistic activity increasingly acute, the number of material to store continuously increasing and the frequency of import and export rapidly increasing, how to manage efficiently, use warehouse and how to standardize warehouse operation are key factors of making the enterprise succeed. However, the level of logistics in China is still lagging behind at this stage, the majority of warehouses are still very traditional, automation and mechanization are low and the operator’s quality. is not high. It is urgent required to use new modernize technology to arm warehouse, in order to crease the efficiency of warehouse management , improve visibility, make it possible to master the whole warehouse in real time and manage warehouse operation efficiently. Based on these, the paper researches the automation three-dimensional warehouse which warehousing automation requires for, and it uses the powerful features of VB programming and SQL database as a background to design a warehouse management system, in order to achieve the automation of storage management.
