After the customer has set up an account, they can either deposit or withdraw money from their account depending on their individual requirements. These transactions are carried out at the counter of the bank branch. The person at the counter is usually referred to as a teller. The teller is authorized to accept and payout cash, issue bank checks, accept bill payments (e.g. electricity, gas, water, telephone), conduct foreign exchange, arrange money transfers between accounts and accept credit card payments.
