The Republic of Ghana and Elephant Alliance signed Framework Cooperation Agreement
Aug.28, 2013 morning, after nearly two months of continuous communications and negotiations, Ghana and Elephant Alliance signed a formal Framework Cooperation Agreement in Beijing, which had been discussed by Ghana's cabinet and was facilitated by Finance Ministry of Ghana and Embassy in China.
Finance Minister Mr.SETH E. TEPKPER, Deputy Finance Minister Mr. Cassiel Forson of Ghana, ambassador to China Ms. H.E.Helen Mamle Kofi and Ghana Minister Mr. Alfred Saame all contributed to the related details during the process of the agreement signing.
This is a formal comprehensive cooperation agreement signed by Elephant Alliance and the government of Ghana, which involves cooperation in several areas for Elephant Alliance to explore and construct, namely, large industrial parks, large industrial projects, infrastructure construction, international trades, vocational and technical training and development of mineral resources in Ghana. The first phase total investment is over $ 3 billion USD. In the agreement, government of Ghana agreed to give Elephant Alliance the most preferential Free Trade Zone policy and necessary rights of commission and authorization which will be convenient for the implementation of Elephant Alliance’s development plan in Ghana in areas such as park construction, large project introduction, imports and exports, enterprise-establishing and operation management.
Deputy Finance Minister Mr. Cassiel Forson organized the Cooperation Agreement signing matters between the two sides on behalf of the government of Ghana.
