The end of the 16th century was an era when European feudal society began to disintegrate and capitalism was taking shape. The British bourgeois revolution from 1640 to 1688 marked the beginning of the replacement of the feudal system by the capitalist system throughout the world. The machine gradually replaced the manual, and the productivity was greatly developed. The development of productivity led to the transformation of the production relationship, which caused profound changes in the field of social ideology. Some progressive bourgeois thinkers began to explore ways to transform society from political, philosophical and cultural education. A group of bourgeois educators who opposed feudal theocracy and privilege began to design and reform under the guidance of the  ideas of "natural human rights theory". A new approach to education, they believe that it is entirely possible to teach students the knowledge of the system.
