来自佛罗里达州杰克森维尔小镇的Limp Bizkit(林普巴兹提特乐团)自94年年未成军以来即不断在制造记录,96年首张专辑「Three Dollar Bill, Y'all$」发行上市后,Limp Bizkit 即以初生之续不畏虎的精神展开面对乐迷的巡回演唱行程，与前 House Of Pain(痛苦之屋合唱团)的饶舌灵-Everlast(铁人)及摇滚猛团 Kid Rock(摇滚小子乐团)同台较量。Limp Bizkit(林普巴兹提特乐团)甚至在巨型污秽的厕所开过演唱会,98年也与 Korn(鼓物合唱团)加入「Family Values」全美演唱行列,反正只要演唱会就会有Limp Bizkit的曝光。曾是纹身艺术工作者的 Fred Durst(佛瑞德斯特)，Fred 还是 Flip 唱片厂牌的 A&R,也玩票担任乐团音乐录影带的导演,堪称新世代最忙碌的音乐影像创意大玩家。首张专辑中把玩乔治麦可冠军名曲 "Foith" 更被选为漂亮女星卡麦蓉迪亚主演电影 Very Bad Thing(宝贝好坏)片尾主题曲。

1999年7月初,打著重摇滚及饶舌旗帜的劲旅,Limp Bizkit(林普巴兹提特乐团)年度专辑【Significant Other】不甘示弱也以首周63万4874张的非凡数字抢下 Billboard 流行专辑榜的冠军宝座,跃登美国侦测销售的 SoundScan 系统公司有史以来名列第15位的单周最高出货量记录,至2000年春季全美已冲破500万张,这支由主唱 Fred Durst、吉他手 Wes Borland、贝斯手 Sam Rivers、鼓手 John Otto、DJ Lethal 组成的乐团,在年度专辑【Significant Other】,力邀完美无瑕的噪音制造专家,曾为White Zombie、Buckcherry 立下汗马功劳的制作人 Terry Date 加上曾为 Pearl Jam、Stone Temple Pilot 效力的混音王牌 Brendan O'Brien 携手跨刀打造,专辑更赢得美国滚石杂志3颗半星佳评。

Santana成功地把拉丁音乐融合进布鲁斯、摇滚乐当中，成为这种音乐流派的领军人物，在70、80年代的国际乐坛享有盛名。乐队以灵魂人物Carlos Santana(卡洛斯桑塔那)的姓氏命名，1966年成立于旧金山，最初也是一支经常在舞厅演出的迷幻摇滚乐队。尽管乐队同样受到当时旧金山迷幻之音的影响，但乐队独特的拉丁、非洲音乐感觉却从未涉足迷幻摇滚的本质，毕竟异域风情的介入或多或少地冲淡了本土嬉皮文化的影子。
70年代初，乐队首张专辑《Santana》大获成功，单曲“Evil Ways”成为排行榜第4。此后的专辑《Abraxas》再获成功，著名歌曲“Black Magic Woman”在排行榜冠军位置上停留了6周之久。Santana似乎天生就是成功者，它很快就凭借拉丁音乐的感染力窜升为世界巨星，而这距离乐队第3张专辑《For Santana III》(1971，排行榜5周冠军)不过才短短的1年时间。
在乐队核心吉他手Carlos Santana和鼓手兼歌手Buddy Miles(随后的1972年加入乐队)推出双重奏专辑后，乐队第4张专辑《Caravanserai》问世，再次进入Top10排行榜。此时的Santana已经成为一个拥有多名乐手的大乐队，而且人员变动极为频繁，到1973年专辑《Welcome》的时候，乐队成员因为失去了团体意识而先后离队，乐队仅仅剩下Mike Shrieve、Armando Peraza、Jose Areas和Carlos Santana。此后几年，Santana逐渐成为Carlos Santana的私人乐队，但乐队一贯的拉丁摇滚风格却保持了下来，到80年代末，乐队创作了大量的专辑，但反响一般。

4 Non Blondes

风格： Alternative Pop/Rock（另类流行/摇滚）

4 Non Blondes成立于1989年，美国的San Francisco市，当时Christa Hillhouse（贝司手）和Shaunna Hall（吉他手）同为室友，他们当时和Wanda Day（鼓手）想组一个临时性的乐队，但缺一个主唱，Christa在一个名为Nightbreak的俱乐部的舞台上发现了Linda Perry，他立刻被Linda那充满力量和梦幻般的嗓音迷住了，于是他邀请Linda担当他们乐队的主唱，Linda当时并未当回事，直到她亲眼看到了他们三位的现场演出后，才决定加入乐队，这支乐队的首场演出是在1989年10月17日Nightbreak俱乐部里一个每周固定节目“Female Trouble”里，这个节目推出的乐队都是以女性为核心的乐队，如：She Devils, Spokepoker, Stone Fox, Mermaid Tattoo, Lovedog……这些乐队都很不错，音乐也很猛烈。这个俱乐部也是整个SF市最好的，里面都是有着摇滚激情的人。4NB在这里度过愉快的时期，并开始在城市里寻找其他的演出机会。

4NB的早期音乐风格基本上都是狂躁的punk乐，Wanda击打出硬核朋克的鼓声，Linda爆炸般的嗓音，Christa的贝司始终来回于硬核和疯克之间，而Shaunna的3和弦吉他技术构筑了整个4NB早期的主要音乐风格，随着乐队演出机会的增加，他们的名声也越来越响亮。但随之而来的批评也越来越多，乐队似乎要用更大的噪音去抵抗一些刺耳的嘘声和恶意的诋毁。“在当时，并不是有现在这么多的女性活跃在摇滚舞台上，因此我们受到了许多其他乐队或俱乐部里的各类人等的嘲笑和讽刺。这促使我们更努力地投入到音乐中，我们每周都有那么四、五天每天重复听3、4个小时的音乐，当某人想说些屁话来讥笑我们时，我们就会在舞台上愉快地用音乐去还击他。我已经弹了15年琴了，所以我们乐队里每一个人都对自己的音乐技术和水平充满了自信。”

在早期的乐队词曲创作中，几乎都是由Shaunna Hall一人包办，也许只有乐队创作的第一首歌“Whole lotta love”例外。但在不久后，Linda开始成为乐队词曲创作的核心，Wanda和Christa一般喜欢在排练前弹弹groove来热身。有时他们这些即兴弹奏的片段就成了乐队的歌曲。然后由Linda配好词，如歌曲“Old Mr Heffer”“No place like home”就是这样创作出来的。Linda有时也和Shaunna共同创作一些歌曲，但通常她喜欢独自一人冥思苦想。每当创作出一些新的音乐作品时，他们都会把它立刻放在晚上的演出里。但有时4NB会很玩笑地把刚学会的一首歌加入到演出节目中，由于此时4NB乐队并不能靠俱乐部演出来维持生活，他们四人白天都需要工作，而Linda是乐队里第一个辞退餐馆的女招待工作而专心投入到音乐中来的，因为她对每日清晨萦绕在耳边的铃声和嘈杂的工作厌倦透了。不久，Charista也辞去了他的固定工作，他已经在白日会计师夜里音乐家的角色变换中持续了十年了。四人陆续都辞去自己的工作，开始从当初业余心态去玩音乐中转变为以此为职业的专业态度。但他们的音乐之旅并不顺利，录制的小样并未得到唱片公司的垂青，在经济上陷入了窘迫之境，他们不久就负债累累，这几乎也是许多摇滚乐队成立之初的惯例。

《Bigger,Better,Faster,More！》（1992）

这张专辑是4NB的第一张专辑，也他们的最后一张专辑，每次听到这张专辑，就象一个正处在颠峰期的体育明星突然宣布退役一样，给人留下了他美的回忆，这张专辑是靠“What's Up”而走红的，而这首歌也比较完美地体现了Linda峰回路转的嗓音，但这类歌曲在这张专辑里是屡见不鲜，如"Train" "Calling all the people"等，而整个乐队的音乐风格也比较古怪（感觉上象是FUNK与R&B的综合），非常适合Linda那独特的嗓音，如果摇滚是蕴涵激情的音乐，那Linda的嗓音就应该是能呼唤出激情的魔音宝盒。啦啦啦，飞飞飞，high，high，high……

在1970年夏天,于Sunapee渡假的Steve Tyler,结识了在冰淇淋店打工的Joe Perry,两人在共同欣赏一场当地的小型演唱会后,决定组团.然后Perry介绍了原本跟他同团(The Jam Band)的贝斯手Tom Hamilton,打算组成一个三人的团.Tyler同时还担任鼓手,后来Tyler邀请他高中时的同学 Joey Kramer加入担任鼓手.而另一位吉他手Brad Whitford则是在团员们决定搬进波士顿的一间公寓后才加入.他们曾考虑过的团名有The Hookers,Spike Jones,..等.最后在鼓手Kramer的建议下才正式定名为AEROSMITH.首度公演是在Nipmuc公立高中,演奏了包括John Lennon,The Rolling Stones以及The yardbirds等作品.

Blonde Redhead

风格：no wave 噪音摇滚

Blonde Redhead成立于1993年,由日籍女歌手Kazu Makino和来自意大利的孪生兄弟Amedeo Pace & Simone
Pace所组成.乐队刚出道便常被外界拿来与Sonic Youth作比较,这并非因为他们的处女碟是由Sonic Youth的鼓手Steve
Shelley所制作,而是其嘈杂刺耳的吉他声,密集的编曲均为早期Sonic Youth的标志性元素.于是,乐队的风格也被定义为no-wave,噪音摇滚.

事实上,初期的Blonde Redhead确是噪音美学虔诚的继承者,他们前两张专辑急促且富侵略色彩的音乐,让许多no-wave
歌迷惊喜不已,乐队也很快受到肯定,转到了indie界较著名的厂牌Touch&Go旗下.可惜其间只发行了三张不过不失的专辑,虽
颇受业界好评,却得不到歌迷的青睐.而且这几张专辑也愈加软化,即使依然坚持以噪音吉他为主线,振奋程度已大不如前,也许是
想脱离Sonic Youth的影响另辟新路,想改变却又约束着.

在2000年发行完专辑<Melody of Certain Lemons>后,乐队几乎进入了沉寂期.时隔四年,他们竟以4AD旗下乐队的身份
发行了名为<Misery Is Butterfly>的专辑,这一举动可真惊诧了不少人,因为4AD是一个倾向唯美风格的厂牌,即便当年曾签
过数支noise-pop乐队,也都是飘逸派的,与Blonde Redhead的杂乱,尖锐可谓相去甚远.
