GPRS updated from GSM is a new bearer service in order to provide packet data service for GSM customers. At first, this article briefly introduces the concept and the application of GPRS and Modem, then it mainly introduces the design and the production of the GPRS modem. Based on MC35 module, this design realizes the GPRS function and the communication of peer to peer. This modem contains not only Siemens MC35 mobile module but also RS232 interface and SIM card. People can control it with AT commands through PC .Its functions include data, speech, SMS, fax and so on.
