But the method of monitoring urban environment noise lags far behind the needs of environmental protection and technological development, so we unable to timely and accurate monitoring of noise pollution. If the noise monitoring could distribution in a large number within the city and to achieve unmanned operation of remote test, the environmental monitoring department will greatly enhance the degree of automation and efficiency at the same time the environmental protection department will greatly enhance the rapid reaction capability and monitoring capabilities of the noise pollution and excessive noise emissions. This thesis is environmental noise testing terminal research and design, which is based on GPRS technology. Responding to the requirement of the project, this paper offers the scheme and the principle frame. The following elaboration about the design of the terminal detection is given from the angle of software and hardware. For hardware designing, it discusses the designs and the ways of the terminal detection from the data—acquisition module and the GPRS communication module. As for software, it elaborates the main idea of this terminal detection designment, the main flow chart, the corresponding functional flow chart and the source code according to W77E58.Finally I designed the outdoor enclosure structure of the system. The terminal detection will immediately and exactly send the data of noise to some administer department about environment—protecting by GPRS, which will offer effective data for the noise detection and disposal. In addition, it’ll offer effective measure for the noise detection and there is important significance for further development of the technology and science in the field of environment-protecting.
