As for the article itself, since we do not know about the exact cause of the racial gap of criminal record, this suggested solution looks having more political appeal than economic one. if we look at U6, the broader definition of unemployment, caucasian white americans may suffer a same nightmare as minority. for the net home worth, a possible explanation can be, if we make a wild guess, that African amercians and hispanics are more willing to take up those "menial" jobs.
