Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University is working with a multidisciplinary team examining consumer behavior in transportation markets and air quality in the megacity of São Paulo, Brazil. This team includes an atmospheric chemist (Professor Franz Geiger, Northwestern University), an earth scientist (Professor Andrew Jacobson, Northwestern University) and environmental physicists (Professors Paulo Artaxo and Dr Joel Brito at the University of São Paulo), among others.
The candidate will demonstrate knowledge of applied econometrics, experience working with large datasets (or applied microeconomics more generally), and enthusiasm for energy and the environment in the developing world, where the “human-environment interaction” is rapidly evolving.
Applicants will have received a Ph.D. within the last 2 years (or by 2013) in economics, public policy and health, or related disciplines.
