<p>村       收入      人口 </p><p>Ａ      1000     200 </p><p>Ｂ      2000      257 </p><p>Ｃ      1230      210 </p><p>Ｄ      3210     123</p><p> Ｅ     2130     280 </p><p>Ｆ      2310    500</p><p>       数据如上，假如这6个村均属于一个乡，要求是求出这个乡的人均收入，那末应该是，收入加总除以人口加总。我的问题是此时的标准差如何定义的，如何求？因为按照我的理解，此时收入加总和人口加总均是一个数值，如何有标准差存在？</p><p>不好意思，这不是个STATA问题，有些偏离本版主题。先行谢谢斑竹老师和各位！</p>

每个村的人均收入总是不同的吧

I think this problem is to get the standard deviation of average income of towns.

Firstly, you may refer to the definition of standard deviation in http://www.biox.cn/content/20050818/33539.htm

Following the logic to calculate the standard deviation of the example(the height of students),

you can get the mean(average) income of town respectively, that is income/population. Don't worry to use them.

you use them, and take a correct answer that is the standard deviation of mean income of towns or 乡.

In Stata, you can also use the command "summarize".

summarize variable

You can get the mean and standard deviation of variable which is the mean of towns in that case.

      因为要求的是全乡的人均收入,这是不能用各村人均收入再计算平均而得到的,只能是收入加总,再除以人口加总吧? 我的问题时,此时的标准差如何得到?

我明白了,是要用加权的方差计算公式来算.
