最近本人在做人口老龄化与经济增长的问题,看到众多的核心文献和博士论文中,用人均GDP的对数值对老年抚养比(odr)回归的系数都是正值,进而说明老龄化促进了区域经济增长,我也在统计年鉴中收集2000-2013年的相关数据进行回归,为减少遗漏变量的影响,还加入其它控制变量,包括(1)投资水平,用固定资产投资额占GDP的比重来衡量;(2)政府支出规模,用财政支出占GDP的比重衡量;(3)经济开放度,用外贸进出口总值占GDP的比重来衡量;(4)人力资本,用在校大学生人数占地区总人口的比重来衡量。
反复回归后发现,只要不加入人力资本(h_cap)这个控制变量的回归,老年抚养比odr前的系数均为正值(但不显著),但加入人力资本这个控制变量后,回归发现老年抚养比前面的系数变为负值啦,且很显著,另外,人力资本前面的系数为正值,也显著(见下图),于是我的疑问就来啦,是否遗漏了人力资本这个控制变量,会使得odr前面的系数符号发生改变?而odr系数的正负对最后的结论至关重要!
1、没有加入人力资本的回归结果
