dear, friends on line.
i have a puzzle about the difference between demand and preference.
Both concepts can be used to analyze "demand of consumers".
i give some tips about the differences:
1) demand VS supply, it is illustrating the more complete causes except preference.  preference is only one cause that expliain the consumer's behavior.

can you supply me more tips about the difference between them?

个人见解：
需求：消费者需要的产品，并能够负担其成本才构成对产品的需求。由于和价格强烈相关，所以在市场层面上经济分析中多见。
偏好：可以构成消费者效用的产品组合。与个体相关，与价格无关，多见于个体效用层面上的分析。

demand is the "ability" to pay for your preference (choice)
you may have many preference,but you may not have demand. between a yacht and a car, i prefer yacht， but i can afford a bike only.
