2. 今天阅读到的有价值的内容段落摘录:
Ask for More Than You Expect to Get.
Reasons:
(1)You might just get it.
(2) It gives you some negotiating room.
(3) It raises the perceived value of what you are offering.
(4) It prevents the negotiation from deadlocking.
(5) It creates a climate in which the other side feels they won.
Your objective should be to advance your MPP —Maximum Plausible Position. If your initial
proposal is extreme, imply some flexibility. This encourages the other side to negotiate with you.
The less you kno about the other side, the more you should ask for. A stranger is more likely
to be surprising you and you can build goodwill by making bigger concessions. Bracket the other
side’s proposal, so that if you end up splitting the difference, you still get what your want. You
can bracket only if you get the other person to state his or her position first. Continue bracketing
as you zero in on your objective with concessions.
Never Say Yes to the First Offer.
(1) Never say yes to the first offer or counteroffer from the other side. It automatically triggers
two thoughts: I could have done better (next time I will), and something must be wrong.
(2) The big danger is when you have formed a mental picture of how the other person will
respond to your proposal and he or she comes back much higher than you expected. Prepare
for this possibility so it you won’t catch off guard

Started reading Negotiating Gambits to improve my negotiation skills. Negotiation technique is important, and there are a plenty of tricks included in the book that is unknown to me. I plan to read two chapters every day, and practice the skill to my daily life.
