Marc Hall是著名的经济学家，在NBER任研究主任，参加过无数次听证会。他还是American Economic Association的现任主席（该协会发行的quarterly期刊 American Economic Review是大名鼎鼎的）。 他与Marc Lieberman合著的教材简易明了，本教材在Amazon上获得一致好评，与Mankiw的书一样都是非常容易懂，适合初级入门者，但是该书与 Mankiw的侧重点不同，所以可以比较地来看。而且这本书比Mankiw的要薄（大概少有几十页），但是同样都是非常多的图表。鉴于在人大经济论坛上对
该经典教材的忽视，专门发此贴补上。本人宏观入门教材就是这一本，感觉非常好，所以不辞辛劳分享出来，希望更多人受益~

About the Author
Robert E. Hall is a prominent applied economist. He is theRobert and Carole McNeil Professor of Economics at Stanford University andSenior Fellow at Stanford's Hoover Institution where he conducts research oninflation, unemployment, taxation, monetary policy, and the economics of hightechnology. He received his Ph.D. from MIT and has taught there as well as atthe University of California, Berkeley. Hall is Director of the researchprogram on Economic Fluctuations of the National Bureau of Economic Research,and Chairman of the Bureau's Committee on Business Cycle Dating, whichmaintains the semiofficial chronology of the U.S. business cycle. He haspublished numerous monographs and articles in scholarly journals, andcoauthored a popular intermediate text. Hall has advised the TreasuryDepartment and the Federal Reserve Board on national economic policy, and hastestified on numerous occasions before congressional committees.
Marc Lieberman is Clinical Associate Professor of Economics at New YorkUniversity. He received his Ph.D. from Princeton University. Lieberman haspresented his extremely popular Principles of Economics course at Harvard, Vassar,the University of California, Santa Cruz, and the University of Hawaii, as wellas at NYU, where he won the university's Golden Dozen teaching award and alsothe Economics Society Award for Excellence in Teaching. He is coeditor andcontributor to The Road to Capitalism: Economic Transformation in EasternEurope and the Former Soviet Union. Lieberman has consulted for the Bank ofAmerica and the Educational Testing Service. In his spare time, he is aprofessional screenwriter. He co-wrote the script for Love Kills, a thrillerthat aired on the USA Cable Network, and he teaches screenwriting at NYU'sSchool of Continuing and Professional Studies.
