Infrastructure is an economic driver essential for employment rate. The US used to be the world leader in infrastructure, but the position erodes after years of misdirected federal priorities. As a result, standard living and quality of life of American citizens are declined. The US’s infrastructure economic competitiveness falls to No.15 from the top position. It spends only 1.7% of its gross domestic product on transportation infrastructure compared with Canada’s 4% and China’s 9%, and falls far behind in infrastructure projects investment from China and Brazil. Therefore, it owns none of the world’s 10 busiest ports, only looking on the Brazil transferring raw materials to China with state-of-the-art highway, pipeline and conveyor-belt capacity.
To get the US’s economy back on track, a national infrastructure strategy for the next decade should be developed and new infrastructure financing options should be created. It requires the whole nation’s efforts. Otherwise, the future generation will suffer economic decline.

Comments：
Build America Bonds would be a better financial product to invest for its commitments and lower risk. Only this kind of investment could really stimulate America's economy but not QE. We hope Fed to put forward more fiscal policies instead of time after time monetary policies. The reccesion is cause by fewer demand.  Emulating the measures taken by the President Roosevelt to tackle the Inflation, infrastructure investment is at least a easy way to create more jobs and invest choice.
